Annapurna Circuit Trek

Annapurna I Base Camp Trek
The Annapurna I Base Camp Trek, also known as the North Annapurna Base Camp or Narchyang Trail, is a short but adventurous route to the north face of Annapurna I (8,091 m), the first 8,000-metre peak ever climbed. Starting from Narchyang near Tatopani in Myagdi district, the trail follows the Myagdi River through rhododendron forests, waterfalls and the remote Panchakunda (five sacred lakes) before reaching the base camp at 4,190 m. Unlike the crowded Annapurna Sanctuary route, this is a quiet camping trek with raw alpine scenery and very few other trekkers.
Annapurna Dhaulagiri Community Trek
The Annapurna Dhaulagiri Community Trek is a short, community-based eco-trek in the hills of Myagdi and Parbat, between the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. It follows the ridge trail from Ghumaune and Galeshwor up to the villages of Banskharka, Nangi, Mohare Danda and Tikot, staying in community lodges and family homestays whose income supports local schools and health clinics. The route was developed with the ideas of Mahabir Pun, the Nangi-born social entrepreneur famous for bringing wireless internet to rural Nepal. Expect quiet forests, terraced farmland, Magar and Gurung hospitality and a panoramic sunrise over Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre and Manaslu.
Mohare Khopra Danda Trek
The Mohare Khopra Danda Trek combines two of the finest community-run viewpoints in the Annapurna region into one off-the-beaten-path adventure. Starting from Galeshwor, the route climbs through the villages of Banskharka, Nangi, Mohare Danda, Tikot, Khibang and Swanta before reaching Khopra Danda (3,660 m) on the flank of Annapurna South. An optional day hike climbs to the sacred Khayar Lake at about 4,660 m. The trek is famous for its community lodges, Magar and Gurung culture and close-up views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna, with far fewer trekkers than Poon Hill or Annapurna Base Camp.
Nar Phu Valley Trek
The Nar Phu Valley Trek is a restricted-area adventure into two hidden Tibetan-influenced valleys north of the Annapurna Circuit. Opened to foreign trekkers only in 2002, the route leaves the Marsyangdi Valley at Koto and enters a narrow gorge leading to Meta, Kyang and the medieval stone villages of Phu and Nar. The trail then crosses the Kang La (5,320 m) to Ngawal and Manang before continuing over Thorong La (5,416 m) to Muktinath. Expect ancient monasteries, mani walls, yak pastures, dramatic rock formations and some of the wildest scenery in Nepal, with very few other trekkers.
